Drawing directly from H. P. Lovecraft\u2019s \u2018Herbert West\u2013Reanimator\u2019 and its 1985 cult film adaptation \u2018Re-Animator\u2019, \u2018Better Left Dead\u2019 traces the tale\u2019s grim narrative across three tracks. Opener \u2018Serum of Life\u2019 gives voice to the deranged scientist himself, detailing his obsession with defeating death through a grotesque chemical serum. The title track, \u2018Better Left Dead\u2019, shifts perspective to the reanimated corpse, while closer \u2018Verdict\u2019 delivers the tale\u2019s tragic conclusion as the dead exact brutal revenge on their creator. The final horror comes in the form of bonus track, \u2018Witches \u2013 A Tribute to Dario Argento\u2019s Suspiria\u2019, conceived, developed, and recorded alongside Il Becchino of TENEBRO and originally exhumed in September as part of Iron Fortress Records\u2019 \u2018Tortuous Horrors Await \u2013 Volume 3\u2019 mixtape.<\/p>\n
