DEATHFUCKINGWOUND is a vessel of unfiltered and unadulterated cacophonous rage dressed as music, drawing equally from death metal, grindcore, black metal , and noise, to gather a putrid mass resembling that of a black hole in scope. The duo’s debut VOID MMXXV is out on October 7 2025, on cassette tape and digital in conspiracy with Iron Corpse.
Pulverising and unrelenting by nature, the central motif for DEATHFUCKINGWOUND is to exist as an entity built on aural violence and uncompromising instrumentation, where everything is continuously pushed towards its breaking point, yet with the last remaining thread somehow holding all the chaos together. The idea for the band has existed for a while, but after confirming their first show for the second week of October, things materialised with quite the schedule; after the members agreed to pursue this, the six songs on the demo/promo were written over the course of two weeks, with a recording session on the third. The tangible immediacy is further emphasized by the powerful production, which in all of its acute rawness, is full and vibrant, matching what the music itself demands. From nothing into flesh in four weeks.
With its cover art lifted from a Goya painting, the 14-minute release is filled to the brim with brute force, rapid tempos, and organic chaos in its most pristine form, without falling short of hooks and nuances.
