The 90’s called and wanted its sludge back.. Finland’s HOLLOW CORPSE revives the spirit of the golden age of fucked up riff-driven sludge from the nineties when the great names like -16-, EYEHAGEGOD, CAVITY, SOURVEIN and early FLOOR ruled the sound, times before the entire genre was flooded with sub-par copies. One might also find reminiscense to some European sludge from early 2000’s like RAMESSES. “Slobbed Out And Given Up” is the band’s second full lenght where they have really fit the pieces of the puzzle to their place and perfected the package – soundwise as well as aesthetically, and you can see how totally fucked up, distorted and fuzzed out the band sounds.
