Description
The origins of obscure German black/death metal cult CH’AHOM can be traced as far back as 2016, when the band spent the next five years up until 2021 issuing a steady string of cryptic demo tapes in the German underground. During this time frame the band had displayed a blown out, raw and feral sound clearly worshipping bands like VON, SADOMATOR, SADOGOAT, BEHERIT and other similar primitive black/death cults.
Recorded shortly before embarking on the “Ritualistic Barbarism” Tour in 2022 together with fellow primal warmongers of PREHISTORIC WAR CULT, the session laid down on “Excavation” documents CH’AHOM’s alchemical journey from the nine layers of Xibalbá, celebrating bestial black/death barbarism to the thirteen heavens of Itzamná that fully manifested for the first time on the their SENTIEN RUIN debut full length “Knots of Abhorrence” and will be even more prominently displayed on the band’s upcoming liturgies.
The five songs included are composed of embryonic tracks of songs to be featured later on the band’s debut Album “Knots of Abhorrence” as well as updated re-recordings of their debut demo “The Raid of the Tzitzimime”
After being only available on ultra-limited cassette so far these recordings have been unearthed and carefully re-mastered for a vinyl release.
